New Custom Courses and Assessments Dashboards

Education and Assessment Dashboard for Custom Education Subscribers

Agency Account members currently access their assigned courses and tests on their agency’s group page, which they can find by logging in and navigating to My Account > My Groups. This process hasn’t changed. However, for users who aren’t yet group members or do not yet have an American CME account, there is now a clear pathway to group and custom course enrollment that all can use.

Custom Education subscribers now have an Education and Assessment Dashboard to streamline group enrollment and navigation to their custom courses and tests. On American CME’s main menu under Courses, click the Custom Courses and Assessments option to open the Custom Courses page.

The Custom Courses page resembles a course library, but instead of courses, organizations are listed. On the organization’s tile, click All Courses to open the Education and Assessment Dashboard.

Each Education and Assessment Dashboard has two sections. The top section provides enrollment information and support, while the bottom section lists the organization’s courses and/or tests.

Top Section: Enrollment Information

The top section has three tabs. The Agency Members tab, which is open by default, informs users that they must enroll in their agency’s group account before taking any courses or assessments so that their completion is included on the agency report for verification purposes. If the user is already enrolled, they can continue to the Education and Assessments in the second section. If they are not enrolled, they are directed to go to the second tab: Find My Agency (“Group”).

The Find My Agency “Group” tab lists the organization’s groups. When the group name is hyperlinked, the user can enroll in the group.

If the group name isn’t hyperlinked, it indicates that the Group Leader either hasn’t enrolled or hasn’t yet requested a role upgrade. Instead, there is a Group Leader: Enrollment Required link. This link is for enrollment in the parent account and is intended solely for the Group Leader who will manage the sub accounts.

If the Group Leader listed on this tab is incorrect or other changes are needed, contact support@americancme.org and/or refer to the Support tab.

The Support tab provides different information for different organization accounts. It may provide the name of the organization’s Group Leader and Team Leaders, and if group onboarding is in progress, this tab may include the Group Leader Reference Guide and tips for managing sub-accounts.

Bottom Section: Education and Assessments

The bottom section is the complete list of education and/or assessments available from the organization. Accessing courses and tests here works the same as accessing them on the My Courses page or the group page. However, this list may include courses that have not been assigned to a group.

While this is a convenient place to find an organization’s courses and assessments, course completions will only appear on a group’s report if 1) the course has been assigned to the group, and 2) the user is enrolled in the group. If a user is unsure which courses or tests have been assigned to them, they should visit their My Groups or My Courses page.

Please contact support@americancme.org with any questions or for assistance with the new Custom Courses page or Education and Assessment Dashboard. The goal is to make group and custom course enrollment more intuitive and efficient.

The Organization and Agencies pages for Michigan, Minnesota, and New Jersey are still available for group enrollment and accessing group courses, but the new Education and Assessments Dashboard gives Custom Education subscribers a central hub for displaying all of their groups and courses.

Thank you to all our Custom Education subscribers for your contribution to EMS education!
