Chrissine A. Cairns, MA

American CME Executive Director
Chrissine Cairns has led American CME since 2022, rebuilding the platform from the ground up and growing it into an education service used by more than 27,000 EMS professionals across 500+ agency groups in Michigan and beyond. She oversees CAPCE accreditation compliance, course development and review, platform architecture, operations, and user support. Chrissine brings more than 25 years of experience in education and educational technology to the role, including work as an educator, instructional designer for online learning, academic writer and researcher, student services specialist, and learning management system administrator. She holds an MA in English Composition and Communication.

Kolby Miller, MBA, Paramedic I/C, Medstar President and CEO

American CME Education Director
Kolby Miller has been a Michigan paramedic for nearly 40 years, beginning his EMS career in Flint in 1987. He has served as President and CEO of Medstar Ambulance, a Michigan EMS agency, since 2005, and brings that frontline operational perspective to his role as Education Director for American CME, where he guides course strategy and ensures content reflects the realities of prehospital practice. Kolby is a Region III Director of the American Ambulance Association, representing EMS providers and agencies across the Midwest, and a longtime leader in the Michigan Association of Ambulance Services, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2002, twice as association president, and has coordinated the education program for the Michigan EMS Expo since 2010. He represents MAAS on the Michigan EMS Steering Committee, where he chairs the Safety Committee, and is a Survey Team Leader for the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. He also serves on the boards of the Traffic Improvement Association of Michigan, the Lapeer Family Literacy Center, and the Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County.

Michael Howard Feld, MD, FACEP, FAAEM

American CME Medical Director
Michael Feld, MD, FACEP, FAAEM has served as Medical Director of American CME since 2012, providing physician oversight of our course content and accreditation. A board-certified emergency physician, Dr. Feld completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and holds his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is Regional Medical Director for TeamHealth’s Northeast Group and Medical Director of the Macomb County Medical Control Authority, and previously served as Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Jon Krohmer, MD, FACEP, FAEMS

Dr. Krohmer is a volunteer with the National EMS Museum, a member of the Panel of Commissioners for the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services, and a non-executive member of the Board of Directors for Velico Medical.

Bio

Dr. Krohmer is an EMS Subject Matter Expert for Cambridge Consulting Group and Associate Medical Editor for the National Association of EMTs AMLS textbook. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and is a member of the Kent County EMS Advisory Council.u003cbru003eu003cbru003eDr. Krohmer retired in 2022 as the Director of the NHTSA Office of EMS in the Department of Transportation and as the EMS Medical Director for the Caroline County (MD) Department of Emergency Services. He also served as the NHTSA Acting Associate Administrator for Research and Program Development from October 2018 to January 2020. Previously, he was the principal deputy assistant secretary for DHS Office of Health Affairs and DHS deputy chief medical officer. He began serving in that position as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) with DHS in September 2006 and served as the acting assistant secretary for health affairs and chief medical officer from August 2008 to August 2009. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eDr. Krohmer was an attending physician and director of emergency medical services (EMS), emergency medicine residency and Department of Emergency Medicine at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI, associate professor of emergency medicine at the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University and EMS medical director of Kent County Emergency Medical Services and was the medical director for the West Michigan Metropolitan Medical Response System and the Region 6 Consortium.

Bio

Phil Koster is a Professional Public Safety leader with multifaceted background and education. He is pursuing a Master of Public Safety degree at Columbia Southern University and has an extensive paramedic, hazardous materials, and firefighter past and ongoing experience and engagement at the tactical and strategic level. A business graduate coupled with EMS management experience creates an insightful, cross-trained EMS business head.
