When addressing communicable diseases, understanding how they are transmitted and how they can be prevented is of vital importance. Proper precautions allow healthcare providers to be in direct contact with and medically treat infectious patients while minimizing their exposure to infectious agents. This course outlines the protective measures that are available for your consideration.

- A “credit” is a continuing education hour (CEH).
- If you do not have a State EMS # or Date of Expiration, use a placeholder number such as 01234 and a future date.
- If you do not have an NREMT #, leave the NREMT # and date fields blank.
- Enrollment grants access to the courses for one year.
