Capnography is the continuous concentration-time display as a waveform (capnogram) and numerical value of CO₂ sampled at a patient’s airway.
Measured by a capnograph.

Capnometry is the measurement and numerical display of the CO₂ concentration without a waveform.
Measured by a capnometer.

A capnogram is a single waveform displaying a graphic tracing of the exhaled and inhaled CO₂ concentration during the breathing cycle.
