This course was created by Morgan Gutzman, BS, Paramedic, and Doctor of Occupational Therapy for her doctoral capstone at Western Michigan University. The course reviews the impact of chronic stress, burnout, and trauma on EMS providers, emphasizing self-awareness, resilience, and sustainable recovery. Participants will learn practical strategies for managing stress, recognizing early signs of burnout, and implementing trauma-informed care. The course includes interactive activities, evidence-based interventions, and tools to promote long-term well-being and professional longevity.
